We are a bank. That is no secret, and also the reason why we want to foster innovation in the banking ecosystem as well as in the world of finance.
In this eighth edition there were two special awards, the Wired Money and the Financial Inclusion. The two winners of these Special Awards enjoyed the BBVA Open Talent Immersion week and 2016 Interaction Program.
The Financial Special Award was given to the project that provided solutions to small businesses and non-bancarized clients in the area of digital finance.
Wired Money Special Award
All those projects enrolled in Open Talent 2016 before 2nd May had the opportunity to be invited to the Wired Money event in London, where the winner was announced.
An international jury selected the finalists of each region from all the enrolled projects to compete during September in New York, London and Mexico City. The finalists not only competed to win, during the final they also worked together with BBVA experts in their projects.
6 winners: two champions for each of the three regions: Europe, Latin America and USA & Rest of the World.
The winners enjoyed two one-week programs in Madrid and Mexico City. They were able to get to know and engage with the entrepreneurial ecosystem and BBVA executives, with the goal of making their business grow.
