Although most companies admit they still encounter obstacles when implementing Big Data projects in their organizations, nine out of every 10 companies acknowledge that they are already using data tools to design marketing and sales strategies for their products and services.
According to a study by CA Technologies entitled The State of Big Data Infrastructure, the benefits of implementing Big Data in companies already outweigh the obstacles –which continue to be the greatest challenge facing these companies.
The key to their satisfaction after implementing Big Data strategies lies in the following statistics:
- 88% of the respondents say they already have seen or at least expect to see an increase in revenues.
- 92% consider they have improved their competitive position.
- 94% highlight that the company is now able to provide new products or services.
- 90% flag up the possibility of creating targeted marketing campaigns that are more effective than before.
In spite of this, 92% declare they have encountered obstacles when implementing their Big Data projects. This points to the need to invest more to allow their data projects to "work well".
