Payment by means of fingerprints, PIN numbers and mobile phones could be consigned to history. A Finnish start-up, Uniqul, has invented a payment system that uses facial recognition. Your face is your PIN. Terminals are already being prepared in Helsinki to start operating with this system, according to an article in Fast Feed.
To confirm a transaction at the point of sale, the user simply has to show his or her face to a camera, the identification document is checked to verify it, and it is then confirmed by a click on "OK" on a tablet screen.
