London, first stop for the winners of BBVA Open Talent 2015

Everledger, Origin Markets, LendingFront, ModernLend, BitNexo and Destácame, shared their experiences and knowledge in the british capital as part of the Immersion and Interaction Program.



London has been the first stop of the Immersion and Interaction Program for the winners of this seventh edition of BBVA Open Talent. This intense week, started with a welcome dinner, in which the attendants from the six startups had a presentation and relaxing conversation.

On the next day, Monday, the protagonist was Stewart Bewley, who gave the participants the clues for presenting in public, how to project their voices and how to sum up ideas in a very funny way.

He also challenged the attendants with an improvisation game. At the end of the day, the Open Innovation and the Startup Bootcamp teams had a little talk with every startup to plan the course of the week and focus specially in each of them.

During the second day, the winners learned from Han Veldwijk de Rabobank, how to present their project to a bank. With this keys, they had a session to improve their one-pager and to learn also how to treat with Venture Capitals. After this long day, the funny and relaxing night, the ping-pong beers party.

With new energy, wednesday started with Matt Brown's speech, from PwC, about the regulatory perspectives of the UK in the fintech sector. After that, the mentoring sessions began. Six groups of experts, one for each startup. This was followed by a great bowling night.

Thursday was the BBVA day. The UK CIB team, and teams from Spain of Business Development, Legal, Security, Risk, Data and Analytics, Compliance, M&A and Ventures arrived in London. It was an intense day with one to one sessions between this executives and the Open Talent winners.

Friday was the final day of the London experience. It started with a Business Model Canvas to get to know the value it can contribute to a startup. It was followed by a tour to the most innovative and modern co-working places. To have a top end, the whole group went to a boat trip in the Thames River, and said goodbye to this amazing city that welcomed them for an exciting week.
