Winning divers get into action
Ciudad BBVA, BBVA Campus, BBVA Innovation Center... BBVA's most emblematic buildings in Madrid welcomed the winners of BBVA Open Talent 2016 in the first week of its Immersion and Interaction program.
Identifying opportunities. This is one of the main objectives of the prize of two weeks of Immersion and Interaction given to the winners of BBVA Open Talent 2016. During this time, the startups and BBVA executives work in seeking new opportunities for their businesses.
Our winning divers have already completed their first week of immersion in Madrid (Spain). They have been at Ciudad BBVA, BBVA Campus and the BBVA Innovation Center to take part in the different working sessions, one-to-one interviews with BBVA executives and experts in various business areas.
During these days the winning startups have explained their projects and business models to BBVA executives such as the COO, Carlos Torres Vila; Teppo Paavola, New Digital Business Manager; Derek White, Global Customer Solutions Manager; David Puente, Business Development Manager in Spain, among many others.
These professionals from the financial world have given them endless ideas so they can boost their projects in the following stages of development and, above all, create synergies with BBVA.
Highlights of the working sessions that have taken place this week were those held with Carlos Torres Vila to become familiar with the digital transformation process that BBVA is carrying out.
In addition along with the BBVA Data & Analytics team, the winners were able to find out about the bank's data analysis center of excellence and how an entity like BBVA works with big data technologies.
With the Customers Solutions team, the startups have been able to learn the importance of design to enhance new digital experiences so essential to bring the end user closer to what they all aspire.
